Since 2005, it has been a priority for United Way of Williams County to help bring strong literacy to our young children in the county. Dolly Parton's Imagination Library supports literacy, family time, and
builds a library for children under 5. Our largest funded program, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library has become a staple program for our county.
It costs approximately $30 a year per child to provide this program to Williams County residents.
Any Williams County child under the age of 5 is eligible to receive free books mailed straight to their homes, even if an older sibling participated in the program previously!
We are lucky to have the support of the Ohio Governor's Imagination Library who has committed to funding half the program for all organizations that run the program in their county. Our combined goal is to have every eligible child enrolled in Ohio!
