Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Education reduces poverty, boosts economic growth and increases income. It is one of the most important investments a country can make in its people and its future.  We have dedicated ourselves to early learning through the funding of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in Williams County.

The United Way of Williams County makes the program accessible to all preschool children in the county, regardless of income. The United Way pays for the books and mailing, promotes the program, registers the children, and enters the information into the database. From there The Dollywood Foundation takes over and manages the system to deliver the books to the home.

Once enrolled, each child’s first book will be the classic “The Little Engine That Could.” Each child will continue to receive one hardcover, age-appropriate book free each month until he or she reaches the age of five. There is no need to re-enroll in the program each year, but we do ask that you provide the United Way with any address changes, as books will not be forwarded. Please contact us if you need to update your address.

The cost of the program is $30 per year per child. Would you like to sponsor a child?  Fill out your donation form here.

Children ages 0-5 may be enrolled by contacting the United Way at 419-636-8603 or by filling out the online enrollment form.
